2nd shift Industrial Set Up Mechanic


Referral Staffing Solutions is recruiting an Industrial Set-Up Mechanic for a client in Sparta, WI. Facilitates the set up and/or changeover of production machinery and equipment by exchanging clamping fixtures, stamping dies, pattern programs, and raw materials as required by the customer order, and ensures proper machinery performance. Performs additional machinery and equipment adjustments and/or repairs as required to maintain product quality standards. Cleans and lubricates machinery parts, such as shafts, pulleys, gears, slides, and bearings, and performs routine preventive maintenance. Diagnoses machinery and equipment malfunctions affecting mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems using appropriate testing equipment and procedures. Visually inspects and precisely measures parts to detect wear, misalignment and/or other problems, using micrometers, dial and digital calipers and dial indicators. Dismantles machinery and equipment, replaces defective or worn parts, adjusts machinery mechanisms, and tests for correct machinery function as part of a preventative maintenance program. Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste materials from machines. Maintains machinery spare parts inventory, records parts consumption, and reports depleted parts inventory conditions. Develops and debugs product programming for computer controlled machinery, and prepares programming modifications. Maintains assigned tools and toolbox. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and Supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability. This position starts at $15.50 per hour and will increase to $16.00 per hour after 90 days. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree (A. A.) in Applied Science, majoring in Mechanical-electrical Technology or equivalent from two year College or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Hours are 4:30pm-3:00am
