A Baler Operator is responsible for operating equipment in order to perform the function of baling material generated in the recycling process. The Baler Operator is responsible for quality assurance of material being baled and placed in receiving area for shipment. The Baler Operator is responsible for ensuring he or she is following company safety policies.
Operate equipment to perform the function of baling material generated in the recycling process.
Responsible for quality assurance of material being baled and placed into receiving area for shipment.
Stack materials in locations using equipment.
Examine shipment contents and compare to Bills of Lading.
Record shipment data.
Load materials to send out for shipments using forklifts.
Knowledge of handheld tools.
Quality control analysis
Judgment and decision making
Ability to operate recycling conveyor.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Companyâ€™s safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks.
Good follow through ability; adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time including but not limited to an 8 hour shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or 10 lbs. constantly to move objects.
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
Must be able to work in a loud environment.
Experience working in a production or manufacturing industry.
High school diploma or GED
Experience operating a forklift, skid steer, loader, or baling equipment.
Knowledge of recycling industry, materials, and processes.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
