Civilians on the Battlefield – Fort McCoy, WI

Are you interested in helping the National Guard train to they can be prepared to help us in emergency situations? Here is your chance!

Exciting work opportunities are available at Fort McCoy supporting training exercises for the US Army National Guard.

This work is fun and fulfilling, supporting National Guard training while earning income and learning new skills.

No experience is necessary, job training will take place on-site.

Employees will be prepared to work as both Battlefield Effects (BFE) Technicians (Techs) and Civilians on the Battlefield (COBs).

Employees may be asked to fulfill either position, and will be trained to perform both tasks.

BFE Techs perform work as Fire Markers, operating non-pyrotechnic devices to replicate indirect fire systems and land mines.

COBs portray village character roles within a training scenario, and dress in wardrobe appropriate for a particular region (wardrobe is provided).

All employees will be trained and certified prior to starting work (training is paid time). $14.25 per regular hour, 40 hours per week, Opportunity for Overtime

Must be available most days from 6AM to 6PM.

Valid Driver’s license and vehicle desired.
