Job Coach-Instructor

Referral Staffing Solutions is hiring for a company in Tomah for a Job Coach-Instructor. Position is starting at $10.00/hr.

Basic Functions and Responsibilities The Job Coach is responsible for on-site training and support of assigned individuals in community-based jobs and/or work experiences. The Job Coach will develop and teach general skills that lead to employment.

Education and Experience •High school graduate or equivalent (GED). •At least two (2) years of experience working in restaurant, food service, janitorial, retail, factory setting or other community employment experience. •Two years’ experience working with people with disabilities. •Associate degree in human services related field (Related Life Experiences may be substituted for associate’s degree in human services related field). •Individual demonstrates experience and understanding of requirements to obtain and maintain employment in a variety of community settings and jobs. •A valid driver’s license with good driving record and insured vehicle available for daily use.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. •Ability to work as part of a team. •Ability to write behavioral observations. •Knowledge of developmental disabilities and mental health characteristics. •Ability and willingness to provide personal care services. •Ability to relate to and communicate with participants, co-workers, and people in the community in a positive manner. •Maintain confidentiality of participants and programming. •Mobility to access various locations within/outside the company’s facilities. •Physical ability to lift or transfer adults when providing personal care. •Physical ability to provide and/or respond to behavior intervention. •Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand for long periods of time and push 150 lbs using a pallet jack. •Maintain a valid driver’s license with a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
